De Leo Fund Onlus

This non-profit organization offers a welcome and an embrace especially to all those who are dealing with the immense pain of a traumatic loss. The De Leo Fund initiative was founded in 2007 by Cristina and Diego De Leo together with Federica Zoppellaro and Arianna Caldon. It was set up to support the human, existential and psychological condition of anyone who has suffered a traumatic bereavement (traffic and workplace accidents, suicide, homicide, natural disasters, human error). The founders embarked on this path in the firm belief that it is useful to share stories, memories, experiences and feelings with those who are suffering the same kind of distress. Grieving — working through bereavement — is the process of finding a way to combine the memories of a loved one with the legacy of emotions and experiences the person left behind. It is a process that, over time, can make the loss less painful.

asperger

Gruppo Asperger Veneto

It was the parents of persons with relational and communication difficulties — though not diagnosed as autistic at the time — who were behind the foundation of this charity in 2003. The principles driving its activity are: scientific guidelines, involvement of individuals with autism in the choices that affect them, and self-advocacy. The Gruppo Asperger works in conjunction with other organizations for the protection of people with autism and disabilities, making its own specific contribution. From the start, it has sought to provide a nationwide response, contributing over the years not least to the creation of regional associations with which it shares aims and principles: in the Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy and Veneto regions. Other projects are concerned more with maintaining the basic autonomy of the individual, and with the search for multi-sensory languages other than the usually verbal form.
